Darren L. Crane President and Founder
|
 |
|
Darren is a NJ native who grew up along the Jersey Shore. In 1998 Darren made the move to Marlton to accommodate his hectic travel schedule. Darren attended school at Rutgers University as well as countless classes on management training, strategic plan training, technical training, and has achieved a variety of technical certifications. His 20+ year career in IT includes various roles in healthcare IT management, network design, data center design and consulting.
An unknown fact about Darren: Darren and his wife are Disney fans. He showed his love of Disney by donning a Mickey Mouse bow tie and socks at his wedding followed by a honeymoon at the Disney World resort.
Where to find Darren in his off time: Darren finds it hard to truly enjoy his time off as he is ever present in the operations of DLC. But when he does finally let go a little he can be found enjoying the time with his wife Ellen and the family dog, usually at the Jersey Shore.
What are Darren’s views on the future of IT: Technology concepts usually remain the same, but the construct of data and components are reorganized and renamed to create "new" technologies in the industry. The latest example of this is cloud services. As cloud services and the "pay as you go" model expands, I can certainly envision a future where someone is born, they are allocated a social security number, and unique user ID to their computer resources, and a software license.
Darren, what is your favorite quote? "No matter where you go, there you are" -Buckaroo Banzai
And lastly, do you have a favorite cartoon character? Bugs Bunny. He had a calm charisma and class… all the while making a fool out of his enemy.

Robert Walsh Director, Professional Services |
 |
|
Rob made his way to South Jersey from the good old North (Jersey that is). He spent his high school years locally and fast-tracked his way to Rutgers University, Camden Campus where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Rob went on to several positions in IT leadership for local healthcare organizations and several start-ups before joining Darren at DLC .
An unknown fact about Rob: To further his education, Rob also attended Planning and Zoning classes to coincide with his (7) year run on his hometown’s planning board. Finding a liking for the forum, Rob is currently serving a 3-year term on his township’s school board. (Do we see a Presidential run in the near future?).
Where to find Rob on his off time: On a common weekend getaway you can find Rob and his family at the Jersey shore boating and enjoying all that the seaside towns have to offer! Enjoying local culture and supporting local shore towns are high on the list for Rob and his family.
Rob, where do you see the future of technology? I remember when the Internet was something that you could only access when on campus at college. Now you can access it from almost anywhere, at any time, and most people can't imagine not having access. In the coming years we will see computing devices get smaller, data storage get larger, and network speeds get much faster. You will have access to anything from anywhere and devices like iPads will be as common as using a notepad.
Rob, what is your favorite quote? "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself" - Franklin D. Roosevelt
And lastly, do you have a favorite cartoon character? I really don't watch too much tv, but if I had to name someone it would probably be Brian from Family Guy. I like his sense of humor and we share a love for a good martini. (Who doesn’t? And with a talking dog no less!)

Jim Sutton Network Engineer |
 |
|
Jim is a New Jersey transplant by way of Philadelphia, having moved here (with the help of his parents of course) as a child. He attended Holy Cross High School located in Delran, NJ and then went on to Rutgers University to earn his BA degree in Information Systems. Jim also holds the following certifications: A+ CompTIA, Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
Where to find Jim on his off time: Jim particularly enjoys spending time with his wife and children. Jim married his high school sweetheart after all! Jim also finds the Caribbean his place of choice for vacation due to its pristine habitat and tranquil beauty.
Jim, where do you see the future of technology? I believe that technology is cyclical, similar to other industries. New ideas and concepts are created daily, improving current working models with the use of new technology. For instance, early days of computing revolved around mainframes and terminals. Today, the same idea is once again being advertised but w/ a new face, “The Cloud”. People are now reverting to terminal/mainframe days were their data and applications are not being hosted via web based services (Microsoft Office 365, Google Apps, NetFlix, Spotify, etc.)
Jim, what is your favorite quote? “When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.” –Alexander Graham Bell
And lastly, do you have a favorite cartoon character? G.I. Joe, due to the shows simple message and portrayal of Good vs Evil. And it also had the catchy last line: Now you know, and knowing is half the battle. (Note: this is reflective of Jim’s good nature).

|
Now here’s an exciting one: David originally comes to us from Cape Town, South Africa! He considers it one of the most beautiful places he has ever seen. He currently hails from the neighboring town of Maple Shade, NJ whose official motto is “Nice Town, Friendly People.” And David is a friendly guy. For his schooling David attended Camden County Community College and earned his Associates Degree in Computer Graphics. David has been interested in IT since high school where he joined the school district’s Student Technology Program and he has been “wired” ever since!

Where can we find David on his off time? David loves to go back to South Africa whenever he gets the chance. It is a bit of a plane ride but every second is worth it for him when he has the opportunity to visit with family and friends.
What are your thoughts on technology? Or in this case, give us a memorable technology quote: “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” – Arthur C. Clarke
Now we want your favorite quote: “He attacked everything in life with a mix of extraordinary genius and naïve incompetence, and it was often difficult to tell which was which.” – Douglas Adams
Lastly, who is your favorite cartoon character and why? Huey Freeman. Cool, calm, and collected, Huey calculates every step precisely before he takes it. His thinking is often radical, but he often accomplishes his goals.
